600 gold per hour for fish feasts in WotLK

Fish feasts are one of the best cookery buffs and the raid buff most used by cooks. You can make a lot of gold simply by farming the fish you need for the Fish Festival.

But of course, you will need to know exactly what to fish and where to go, right? Well that’s where this quick guide will come into play.

Requirements

Fishing Skill 400+

Rod

Lures that give you extra fishing.

(Find Fish, this skill really helps)

Fish Banquet Materials

1x northern spice

2x Mussel sculpin

2x glacial salmon

2x Nettle

So the idea here is to catch as many fish as possible, and then list them at the Auction House for a big profit. Some servers may not even have someone actively farm them, in which case you can make double the gold.

Really, the only place worth mentioning is Kum’uya Lake northeast of Warsong Hold. It has a 90% drop rate and each node has 3-5 catches.

Glacial Salmon

Easily caught in the rivers of Grizzly Hills. It is easiest to travel or fly along the river that runs north from the east side of Venture Bay and then onto the lakes on the north side of the area.

Nettle

Fish some of the schools of nettles in the Sholozar basin, just follow the rivers and you will find plenty.

In just one hour, you can easily catch enough fish for 20 or more fish feasts for yourself. I found that you can easily list the stacks in the Auction House for 20g or more profit.
