A seal basks in the sun on the beaches of De Panne (Video)

Tourists on vacation in De Panne were treated to a nice surprise during their walk this Tuesday morning. Indeed, as indicated by our colleagues from RTL Info, a seal was enjoying the joys of the morning sun by basking on the beach, a few meters from the sea.

A safety device was quickly deployed to allow walkers to observe the animal without endangering it.

The presence of seals on Belgian beaches is not uncommon, and has increased in recent years, especially near the seaside resorts of Nieuport and De Panne.
