Are animals healing? The healing power of a cat’s purr

Animals are healers

Did you know that there is healing power in a cat’s purr?

I have always held that animals are highly intelligent, sensory, and spiritual beings and are natural healers.

They are in tune with our sense of well-being, both physical and mental. When we take the time to learn how they communicate, they have the ability to help us heal …

… and to tell us when they are in pain.

Why do cats purr?

Most people associate a cat’s purr with happiness. And that’s one of the times you’ll hear your sweet kitty purr … when she’s content and snuggled into your lap. Makes you feel happy too, right?

However, pet owners should know that cats will also purr when they feel anxious, when they are sick and in pain.

It can be misleading … and it can cause prolonged suffering for your poor cat if you don’t pay attention to the signal it’s sending you.

Because it is true that a purr is relaxing … when they are not feeling well, they are trying to calm down and comfort themselves.

But this reassuring purr goes deeper than a comforting sound – there’s more science than you might think.

They do not purr to calm down as we would listen to relaxing music …

… because scientists have found that all cats in the world purr with a specific healing frequency.

The healing frequency of a cat’s purr.

Research has shown that all house cats, and most feral cats, purr at exactly the same frequencies. Their purrs range from 20 hertz to 150 hertz.

Surprisingly, these frequencies correspond and are adjusted to the optimal conditions that our body needs to heal damaged tissues and bones.

In fact, the medical community took notice and created similar frequency emitting devices that help heal broken bones and other types of problems.

That’s because our cells actually change shape and repair themselves more quickly when exposed to these frequencies.

We’ve all seen cats do stunt jumps, parkour around the room … it’s hard to believe their joints aren’t moving or twisting a muscle on a pretzel while doing it.

When you understand the medical reason cats purr, it turns out that they may have hurt themselves … and their purr is emitting a frequency that helps heal torn muscle or sore hips.

In fact, some researchers have concluded that this is one of the reasons that veterinarians should perform fewer major surgeries on cats compared to dogs … cats have a trick up their sleeve, a healing superpower.

Because animals are natural healers, it’s time to consider that when your cat snuggles and purrs on your legs, chest, or one of your arms, it’s trying to share its healing superpower with you.

Animals want to share their healing powers.

My late husband always loved to cuddle with our only cat, TuffyTiger, a gray tabby cat with a big heart and sweet nature.

It was the strangest thing … every time he lay down to rest, she was on top of him, in a specific place, stretched out on his chest, purring to the best of her ability.

She would snuggle into him and always finally settle on his right side … on his liver.

This comes from years ago. He always felt refreshed after lounging with TuffyTiger snuggled over him, purr your heart.

After 18 years together, we parted ways. Shortly thereafter, she began to suffer from pain in her chest and stomach area, and sadly later discovered that she had inoperable “bile duct” cancer. In fact, his body was riddled with cancer.

During all those years, our cat Tuffy healing power with him through the power of his purr, stopping pain, improving his health and well-being.

And when she no longer had access to her soothing daily care, the cancer grew at an alarming rate. He died a few months later.

Pay attention when a cat works on your body

I have learned to pay attention when an animal is interested in me, and especially in a specific area of my body … what are they trying to communicate?

Many times the animals I know tell me that their human seriously underestimates their intelligence and intuition.

Whether you are learning to talk to your pets, asking a pet communicator like me to have a conversation with your pet, or just trying to be in tune with the messages they are trying to give you, there is a lot to learn.

Animals are spiritual creatures, a window to your soul and a reflection of your state of mind.

Listening to and paying attention to your cat’s purr will open the door to knowledge, understanding, and healing.
