Does insulin regulate variability in lifespan?

If you want to live longer, the lifestyle of the elderly should be a model for you. You should be interested in why centenarians become centenarians and what they do to live so long.

Is it because they have low cholesterol?

Is it because they eat natural foods?

Is it because they exercise a lot and lead a clean life?

Jean Calumet from France, is the longest known person who has ever lived. In 2001 when he died, he was 122 years old. Well, if you want to learn about her lifestyle, you should know that she smoked and drank her whole life.

As far as I know, there are three major studies that focus on the lives and habits of centenarians around the world. They are all trying to reveal the facts that would confer longevity on these people.

The conclusion of these important century-old studies is that there is hardly anything in common between all of them. There are centenarians with high cholesterol and low cholesterol, some smoke and some don’t, some exercise and some don’t, some drink and some abstain. Some are nice and quiet. On the contrary, some are unpleasant and tense.

But they still have something in common: low blood sugar, relatively for their age. They all have low triglycerides for their age. And they all have relatively low insulin.

Is this an opportunity to think that differences in life span are regulated by insulin?
