FPÖ: Hofer supports the call for a cultural summit

Art and culture cover basic human needs – planning security and perspectives are necessary

Vienna (OTS) “The federal government’s ignorance of the art and cultural scene in our country is embarrassing and does not in the least live up to Austria’s claim as a cultural nation. This essential part of public life is still confronted with great financial uncertainty and a lack of prospects, although we have been in the pandemic for over a year, “summarizes FPÖ Federal Party Chairman NAbg. Norbert Hofer summarized his criticism of the Federal Government’s approach.

Hofer confirms his support for an appeal that hundreds of artists and cultural institutions from Austria address to the government and that they rightly demand to finally take care of their concerns. “Austria is known all over the world for its diverse art and culture and the government should be concerned not to jeopardize this reputation. Ultimately, a significant part of tourism in our cities after the pandemic also depends on the future of the cultural scene, ”emphasizes Norbert Hofer, who demands that the federal government convene a cultural summit as soon as possible in order to end the prevailing lack of prospects.
