Everyone should have a goal of living healthier. You should want to eat healthier and exercise. Studies have shown that people who get fit and stay fit live longer lives, have more energy, and are simply happier people in every way. There are a few things you can do to challenge yourself in the next 30 days to lead a healthier lifestyle.
There have been numerous studies that show that a habit (good or bad) is formed in 30 days. Well, we want to create a good habit. So, over the next month, take a step in each of these areas to lead a healthier lifestyle.
First of all, if you are not doing anything yet, you should start an exercise program. If it doesn’t have to be time consuming or expensive. Something as simple as walking 15 minutes a day to start is great. You can run, bike, skate, do sit-ups, anything to get your body moving. If you have an exercise program, great! How often do you exercise? One day a week, two days? Adopt one of your habits to get more exercise. You may have to get out of bed half an hour early, but the benefits are worth it!
Your next habit is to make sure you are eating healthier. This means eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Everyone should include this in their meal plans. So many servings of fruits and vegetables seem like a lot, but it’s easier than you think. And an easy way to do that is by making smoothies. 5 servings go by really fast if you put the right ingredients in them!
Another habit you want to get into is making sure you drink 64 ounces of water a day. I know that now there have been some who say that this is not the case. Well, there are too many medical experts who say you should. Drinking enough water removes toxins from your body and transports nutrients to your cells. Drinking water also helps keep our skin and hair healthy. We also want to keep our bodies hydrated. Dehydration can cause all kinds of problems. Staying hydrated is also important because you need to replenish fluids that you lose by sweating while exercising.
