“House for Nature” invites you to a dialogue in the museum on “Global Climate Strike Day”

Climate protection – everyone can help

St. Pölten (OTS) As an official member of “Museums for Future” and holder of the “Austrian Eco-Label”, the Museum Niederösterreich invites you to attend the current special exhibition “Climate & Climate” on Friday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on “Global Climate Strike Day”. Me ”in the“ House for Nature ”in St. Pölten. Mobile information personnel offer discussions in the exhibition about how the declared climate goals can be achieved.

“The special exhibition ‘Climate & Me’ not only explains how climate change works, who it causes and what the consequences for people, the environment and the economy are,” explains Ronald Lintner, scientific director at the “House for Nature”. “The interactive carbon dioxide laboratory enables every visitor to create their own personal plan of action to protect the climate. At the same time, the exhibition clearly takes a stand on what politics can and must do to protect the climate, ”said Lintner.

“In addition to an exhibition on the subject, a museum can also do a lot for the climate in its daily operations,” adds Matthias Pacher, Managing Director of “Museum Niederösterreich”. “The prerequisite for this is that climate protection is lived as a joint project by employees and visitors. We work on this every day and communicate the topic very actively to our guests. It starts with the waste separation and ends with the invitation to learn to love and protect the nature of Lower Austria in our ‘House for Nature’ with over 40 living species. “

The exhibition in cooperation with the Department of Environment and Energy Economics at the Office of the Lower Austrian State Government and the Energy and Environment Agency of the State of Lower Austria runs until August 29th. In addition to the interactive carbon dioxide laboratory, you can take front-end cards with you from the exhibition, but you can also send them to friends. The global climate strike day on March 19 is probably the ideal opportunity for this.
