Maggie O’Farrell at “Soir”: “We need art to make sense”

interview

VShow to say it otherwise? I love Maggie O’Farrell’s latest novel, Hamnet (in bookstores on April 1). He is so sad, so alive, so beautifully written, so attentive to everyday life, so human, it is perhaps the only word that fits his literature, yes: human. With what this word conveys of pride, distress, suffering, joy, determination, cowardice, selflessness and resilience, creativity.
