Next opening steps in Bavaria stopped

Courageous plans in the Munich Volkstheater, in the Bavarian State Opera or in the Schauburg for an end to almost five months of lockdown have been in vain.

Like other theaters in Munich, the Bavarian State Opera must remain closed.

In view of the renewed increase in the number of infections in Bavaria, there will be no further opening steps from the lockdown next Monday. Theaters, cinemas, concert halls and the guest gardens must therefore remain closed nationwide. Until further notice, the agreement on further opening steps will not be given, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Health on Thursday of the German Press Agency in Munich. In addition, the next federal-state consultations should be awaited next Monday.
