Pool Tables – A Pool Table Review
I am going to review several popular pool table brands and styles in the following article. Pool tables are made of wood. The type of wood depends on the table. Some of the tables are made of slate. This is a heavier, more durable pool table, and one of the most expensive. The traditional rectangular pool table comes in 7-, 8-, or 9-foot sizes, with 8 and 9 feet being standard competition game tables.
The first table I saw when writing my review was called the Mercury pool table. It is a standard 8 foot long table. It has a contemporary look, nothing fancy, but it is extremely stable. The legs are made of thick wood and offer a sturdy design. The built-in ball storage system is a useful addition. No more walking around looking for balls before every game! The table is made from a mahogany laminate. It has a beautiful, traditional look and functionality that can give you hours of entertainment. The price range is fair on this one. For its style and functionality, it was priced at $999 USD.
The next table I saw was known as Liberty. It was made in a black laminated material. This one also has integrated pockets and embedded sights to line up those tough shots. The legs are pretty solid, but the table feel for me is short. The rails are wide, but it feels low to the ground for me. You can also get matching bar stools and other goodies for this table. For the total price, I would pass this model. It is priced at around $1900 USD.
The final table I will be reviewing will be the Manchester style pool table. This table features an old world English pub style, complete with a dark antique finish. The detail work on the wood is incredible. It has hints of stressed wood to give it that handcrafted feel. Above all, it looks amazing and plays even better. A true traditional competitors table. The tapered legs offer added stability to the table, and the table also features ball pockets. Of course, at a price of around $2300 USD, this isn’t for everyone, but if you want a well-designed table, look no further than the Manchester.
