Success: a cause and an effect

Felix Dennis, the publishing mogul, recognizes that to be rich you need trust and unwavering faith. Tunnel vision, thick skin, stamina, and a capacity for hard work also help.

So why are there people who from a young age possess these qualities when most others do not? All of these qualities or the opposite are developed in childhood. Here are some statements that I hear. “I am useless in sports.” “I am not artistic.” “I can not do this.”

The feeling of insecurity that so many people carry throughout their lives developed in childhood. Blame it on parents who know little or nothing about child psychology. People who go through life as failures have the instinct for failure instilled in their minds as children. When a child is born, it is like a piece of clay that is placed in the parents’ hands to be shaped as they wish. What that child will be as an adult depends largely on the opinion of the parents. You are lucky if your parents instilled in you self-confidence and a positive mental attitude that you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to.

And the schools? They are great for intellectual teens. The education system inspires a vision that nurtures your natural talents by creating the environment to excel. It does not offer the same opportunities for non-intellectuals. Many do not reach the academic level expected by the school and are considered failures.

The fact is that each individual with a failure deeply ingrained in their subconscious mind can change and become the success they have always wanted. Ben Sweetland said, “A man can trudge for years to no avail when, at some point, unexpectedly, a powerful thought seeps into consciousness and a leader is born.”

If you think you are a failure, how will you succeed? Some people don’t believe they deserve success. Failure has become a habit. Remember the old adage, “Habit is a cord. We weave a thread every day and in the end we cannot break it.” Do not believe this. This makes no sense. Change your belief and change your life.

Some people believe in luck. “With my luck, it will never happen.” Thomas Jefferson said, “I am a great believer in luck and the more I work, the more I have it.”

The difference between success and failure is a state of mind. W. Clement Stone with $ 100 built a personal fortune of $ 100 million. The great man believed in positive mental attitude. He said, “There is little difference between people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference whether it’s positive or negative.”

There is no point reinventing the wheel. Follow the path of the great and successful icons of the past and present. Thomas Alva Edison never saw failure as an option. In his quest to develop the light bulb, he said, “I haven’t failed. I only found 10,000 ways that didn’t work.”

In the heavyweight arena, a young man burst onto the scene yelling, “I am the greatest. I am the greatest.” Cassius Clay, now Mohamed Ali was a stranger. He had a powerful and positive belief. I am the greatest, it was chiseled in his subconscious mind. Not only did he become the greatest boxer that ever lived, but he was also voted the greatest athlete of the 20th century. Have you ever had thoughts of failure? I doubt it.

Have faith. Use a positive belief system as a cornerstone to propel you to where you want to be.

Visualize what you want to do or be. Create motivation that stimulates momentum. Then take action. Success will be yours. The stronger your belief, the greater your success.

Always keep the Napolean Hill statement in front of your mind: “All that the mind can conceive and believe that the mind can achieve.”
