This Hatchback from Tata Motors is unbeatable!

Tata Motors is among the leading car producing companies in India. For more than seven decades, the organization has been a trusted name in the automotive industry. Known for making advanced vehicles at reasonable prices, Tata has many avid fans.

It is revered for producing a variety of cars, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and much more.

The Tata Indica is one of the most popular cars produced by the company and it has reaped great profits from it. This hatchback was introduced in 1998 and is still going strong. It was the first passenger coupe from the home of the ace automobile giant. Within two years of its launch, the vehicle became number one in the hatchback segment. Its popularity led the company to start exporting it to the European market.

However, the growth path has not been easy for the car and its manufacturer. Initially, the company faced criticism and buyers were dissatisfied with the coupe’s performance. The manufacturer took the necessary measures to solve the problems and subsequently released a new version: the Indica V2 (version 2). Later the vehicle was renewed and became known as the V2 Xeta Petrol. This model had 70 hp of power and guaranteed a fuel efficiency of 14 km / liter.

The second generation of the car, the Indica Vista, was unveiled at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi. This model was built on a totally new platform and was very different from the previous one. It was larger and had a 2,470mm wheelbase. When it launched, it was given two Fiat engines: 1.2 L Safire MPFI VVT petrol and 1.3 L Quadrajet common rail direct injection diesel. It also had a 1.4L TDi mill that was discontinued for non-compliance with regulations.

The current diesel version of the Indica comes with a 1.4L CR4 engine that promises a great mileage of 25KMPL. The other important features include Duo Float suspension, spacious interiors, electrically operated ORVM with side flashing lights, a powerful Bluetooth music system and much more.

The eV2 model of the coupe is one of the most fuel efficient in its segment. The 1396cc CNG mill produces 55 BHP at 5200 RPM and the 1396cc diesel engine produces 69 BHP at 4000 RPM.

However, Tata has produced many other popular cars, but to date, none of them could match the popularity of this hatchback. For almost 17 years, the vehicle has ruled the hearts of many Indians and we hope it will do so in the future as well.
