Three Great Oregon Vacation Destinations

One of the most beautiful areas in the United States to vacation is the state of Oregon. Oregon is located in the Pacific Northwest and is home to a beautiful coastline, rich forests, and the amazing Columbia River. There are also some great cities to travel to in Oregon, such as Portland, Bend, Salem, and Lincoln City. Here are three great places to visit on your Oregon vacation.

Portland

The city of Portland is the largest city in the state of Oregon and offers more to do than any other community there. Among the many things to do, there are wonderful shopping opportunities, excellent restaurants, a world-class zoo, several well-respected public gardens, proximity to the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood, professional sports teams, and much more. The city is also an hour or two drive from the beautiful Oregon coast.

With some of the rugged oceanfront beauties on the West Coast, the Cannon Beach area has long been one of Oregon’s most popular coastal destinations. There are a number of small communities in the area that provide excellent opportunities to relax. The beach itself at Cannon Beach offers a number of opportunities for activities including beach combing, sunbathing, swimming, and general fun in the sun.

The Bend community is located in central Oregon and is a very popular vacation destination. It is conveniently located in close proximity to multiple ski resorts, river rafting destinations, wilderness areas ideal for hiking and other activities, volcanic rock formations, and more. The hot summer weather is what draws most people to Bend, but the attractions and things to do are what keep them coming back year after year.
