To Computer Users Who Were Annoyed With Esset Nod32 Antivirus

“I would like to uninstall my Esset Nod32 Antivirus (4.0.474.0) but I failed”

As a Tee Support agent, I am always interested in gaining first-hand experience with different programs and then uninstalling them from my computer. And during the uninstall process, something unexpected will happen and sometimes it will take time to settle.

A typical example is the other day when my colleague and I tried to uninstall Esset Nod32 Antivirus (4.0.474.0) from our computers; I promised him that I had used the same method as my colleague. We all uninstalled Esset Nod32 Antivirus (4.0.474.0) with its uninstall feature attached and then rebooted each other’s computer. But the same operation steps that apply to different computers make it different. I still found it existing on my computer, while it just completely disappeared from my colleague’s computer. What a joke!

I tried to use the way an advanced computer user might think, that is, delete the keys and values called Esset Nod32 Antivirus in the Registry Editor window manually. Usually this method works. Obviously, this time I was not so lucky, because Esset Nod32 Antivirus was highly integrated with the system service and associated with the system components.

Then it turned out to be a professional case. Using some professional tools, we recognized the Esset Nod32 Antivirus remnants that still affected the computer and found a solution in the following:

1) Start the computer in safe mode

2) Manually remove the following things in the Registry Editor window:

C: WINDOWSsystem32driverseamon.sys
C: WINDOWSsystem32driversehdrv.sys
C: WINDOWSsystem32driversepfw.sys
C: WINDOWSsystem32driversepfwndis.sys
C: WINDOWSsystem32driversepfwtdi.sys

3) Use the Force Uninstall feature of the Quusoft uninstaller developed by one of our cooperative partners to remove files from the following directory:

C: Program files
C: Documents and settings All users ESET application data

4) Start the computer in common mode. Since the ESET remnants were too powerful, the network connection failed. And we had to perform these steps: my computer-> my network place-> view the network connection -> double click to open the status of local area connections-> property-> select ESET and then click Uninstall -> restart your computer-> if the network connection is still not available, reset the internet protocol (IP)

The whole process was very complex and if I was an ordinary computer user, I suppose I should have described it with a word “crazy”, right?

Anyway, the computer gives us great comfort and Esset Nod32 Antivirus is not bad and it is a popular antivirus software. We should allow life to have an episode sometimes. Enjoy using your computer!
