The film recently won at the Montreal International Children’s Film Festival INIS Award – Prize for innovation and originality as well as the Grand Prize of the Children’s Jury.
“The INIS Award, which is given to the feature film in the official competition that best demonstrates innovation and originality, goes to the Austrian film We’ll stay a little longer, for the intensity and the emotions it aroused in us, for the unadorned portrayal of the harsh reality of immigrants. Also because we have discovered and learned a lot, this film deconstructs clichés. The lovable and fascinating character of the little boy was wonderfully highlighted. “(Jury statement INIS Award)
