What the Bible says about dry places (Matthew 12:43)

Matthew 12:43 am

43 But when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it wanders through [arid places] looking for rest, but finds none.

The writer Matthew expresses how unclean spirits leave man. It doesn’t mention whether they were kicked out or just left on their own for transfer purposes. When they left, they wandered for a while. Where did they wander? Dry, arid, waterless or (lifeless) places, that’s where.

What are dry places?

The Dictionary / Thesaurus defines dry as waterless, devoid, deficient in moisture, arid, sterile and adorned with the UN.

Because these two verses and the reference definitions were not clear to me, I asked the Lord for understanding. Often listening to other believers bind, cast out demons, and send them to dry places, I would ask myself, “What are these places?”

He began to teach me that dry places are places of temporary residence for demon spirits. A dry place is any temporary, molecular, lifeless (breathless), lifeless instrument, object or substance through which demons can travel to reach a permanent host body.

A solid, liquid or gas can be a dry place. Water is wet in the natural sense, but it is dry in the spiritual sense because it is included in the above description. See Leviticus 11:36, 38 on water that becomes unclean.

They are also paper, cloth, wood, metal, cement, plastic, food, and more. Leviticus 11: 31-32

These you will consider unclean of all reptiles; Anyone who touches them when they are dead will be unclean until evening. 32 Anything that falls when dead, be it a piece of wood, a dress, a skin (bottle) or a sack,

These are vehicles that Satan and his devils use to reach a host body, human or animal. It does not matter if it is a religious item with marks or symbols. Nor if it is a pair of white or blue socks thrown to the bottom of the closet. The enemy doesn’t care, you only need one vehicle to get to a body!

Let’s take a look at some of these dry places.

Paper, books, money

People handle money, including people who are tainted with spiritual problems. Through these articles, spirits circulate throughout the world.

Old used fabrics, sheets, blankets, curtains, shoes and clothing ** See Leviticus 15 verses 5-8.

From my early years as a Christian, the Lord tried to take clothes from different people. Being a victim of poverty, we had very little funds to buy new clothes. Family, friends, and church members donated much of what they owned. The old apartment was constantly awash with bags of used clothes and shoes. In order not to appear ungrateful, some of these items were as good as new, as well as being very nice. In addition to the clothing and disorder, came the spirits that the former owners struggled with. God told me to “throw them out.”

Why? Spiritual depression had entered my home through clothing along with suicide, poverty, fear, confusion, etc. Satan for many years had used this as a channel to contaminate my home.

Spirits love to cling to clutter, especially clothing, due to the ability to hide there. Keep in mind that washing clothes will not only remove the spirits for which they should be blessed and prayed for.

(A positive point)

The Spirit of God or the anointing can permeate and bless fabrics, aprons, handkerchiefs, oil to heal and cast out demons.

Acts 19: 11-12 KJV

And God performed special miracles by the hand of Paul: 12 So from his body handkerchiefs or aprons were brought to the sick, and sickness departed from them, and evil spirits came out of them.

Wood, plaster, cement,

Furniture

The spirits flow through furniture, sofas, tables, chairs, desks.

Mattresses ** See Leviticus 15 verses 5-8

Imagine an old, used or reconditioned mattress, brought from a thrift store. If the original owners suffered for many years with lust, depressive spirits, etc. You can imagine what the new owners might experience. Be careful with the purchase!

Canes, poles and canes

Exodus 7: 11-12 KJV

11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; the magicians of Egypt also did the same with their incantations. 12 for each one threw down his staff and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up his rods.

This may seem extreme, but it gives a biblical demonstration of how spirits can be transferred to objects.
