The 2010 Wrangler comes in unlimited 4-door and two-door versions, offered for off-road fun. Rubicon, Sahara and sport are the three trim levels available in the new Wrangler line.

The previous X trim level is replaced by the Sport trim. The removable hardtop and folding softtop are available on all Wranglers models. All next-generation Wrangler models are equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine. The two-door versions produce 202 horsepower, while the unlimited models produce 205 horsepower. This time two different transmissions are offered: 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. The two-door model is available with 4-wheel drive train only, while both rear-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive are available on 2010 Wrangler Unlimited models.

The maximum towing capacity for the 2-door Wranglers is 2,000 pounds, and goes up to 3,500 pounds on the Wrangler Unlimited trims. Anti-skid system, front side airbags, traction control, and anti-braking system are the standard features available on the 2010 Wrangler.

Specific tires, locking differential, and electronically disconnected front stabilizer bar are optional features on the base trim, and are available by default only on the top end trims. The mountain and islander packages have their share of goodness and come in unique body colors and interior finishes.

The first Wrangler model was launched in 1987 and is currently in its third generation. However, the 2010 Jeep Wrangler is not doing very well in the market; however, it is currently the centerpiece of the Jeep brand.
