Funny excuses for being late for your first date
Dating can be an extremely fragile and complicated business. If you are too assertive or self-assured, you could send your dating partner running in the other direction. If you are too shy and reserved, you could put your partner into a long, deep sleep. While there are countless details, both big and minute, that you need to consider in order to impress your potential true love, there is only one thing you can do that can disrupt your budding relationship: Being late for your first date. Whether you have a pretty good reason for being late or being late is just your usual nature, you’ll always need to come up with a great excuse that will keep your date calm despite long hours of waiting.
So what could be some fun alibis you can use to brighten up the scene? Here are some of them.
1. Am I late? Really? I thought I had arrived an hour earlier! (Nothing spells honest error like this statement here.)
2. You should have told me to be on time! (In this fast-paced world, someone has to remind you to be punctual, right?)
3. I was late because my dad was punishing my little brother and I was using my shoes to hit him. (Well, what can we say? Shoes really were made for both walking and hitting, weren’t they? So give your partner a break and accept that excuse!)
