ASK ZANNAH … Take charge of your love life!

Own your ignorance

Dear Zannah,

I’ve been to dating sites and paid thousands of dollars trying to find Mr. Perfect and I keep coming up empty-handed. None of them look like their photos and the ones that I fix through the agencies are simply leached or broken. Please help.

Dear kathleen

I know this sounds a bit harsh, but take responsibility for finding the love of your life! Don’t expect someone else to find it for you! Instead, learn the ways you can recognize it yourself. Come to understand how this world of wonders works. Why do you prefer salty foods to sweet ones or are you attracted to gold over silver? Why do big blue eyes make you melt and brown go unnoticed? Why do you prefer the ocean to the forest and a hotel room to camping under the stars? Why does one man make your heart sing and another not? You know why? Find out why? Not knowing is a sign of ignorance and assigning the task of tackling the MOST important selection of your life to a stranger is insane. Still, I’ve chosen to soften my answer by simply telling you, you’re not crazy … just misinformed. Look for answers. They are out there. Once you understand polarity, alchemy, energy and appetite … nothing can stop you from having the MOST amazing love experience of your life … but first YOU must take charge of your love life.

Too high expectations are placed on agencies and sites for positive results. They are there to provide a focused interest group. Most insist that you be informed and careful when making decisions. Laying the responsibility on them is ridiculous. A good agency will provide you with information and education so that when you meet, you have an idea to work with. If you’re paying an agency thousands to set up with three dates and no selection grounds other than a few common interests … RUN! When you pay a ticket to a local club scene or put a donation in the basket at church, do you expect that environment or event to produce a loving experience for you just because there are other singles there? I do not believe it. The experience we have is what we make it and it rarely means anything if we have no idea what we are getting into. The same is true for a relationship event. What we have lost in the last few thousand years is our ability to access our own common sense. “Meaning” is the key word. We know that we can already feel, see or hear what is good for us because of the noise around us. Once we regain control of our senses or senses, we become powerful magnets of love simply because we know which direction to go and WHY we are moving in that direction. Imagine being IN LOVE and knowing why and how you got there. This is where and when you delight in the POWER of LOVE.

Thoughtfully,

Zannah
