Climb the Slitherio leaderboard easily and faster

Slither.io is a snake-eat-snake game and it is quite famous among internet gamers nowadays. The game features very good design but simplicity of gameplay which makes it a popular choice among gamers. Eating orbs makes your snake character grow bigger and you will enjoy moving thanks to the fluid movements built into the game. The orbs in the game glow so you can easily see them and their pulses make the game quite pretty. While the motive is to grow larger, smaller snakes enjoy greater mobility and don’t have much to lose compared to larger ones.

But even with the amazing design and simple and easy to use controls in the game, you will need to be strategic in your game if you want to enjoy some fame on the leaderboard. So how exactly do you achieve this?

1. Use food to attract your victims. You may be tempted to pick everything up after a kill, but waiting a bit to use it as bait can bring you even more food. Food in slitherio is colorful and therefore will easily attract other snakes. It’s a tactic that works on smaller prey so you can catch them as soon as they start gobbling up your profits. You can wrap the bait to make circling your victim much easier.

2. Use bigger snakes to feed yourself. This is a simple way to grow without putting too much effort. Stealing kills from other snakes is allowed, but you don’t want to find yourself in the mad rush to a new kill scene. The center of the board has more action and you can win something here, you just need to give some time for the traffic to die down before clearing out what’s left of the bigger snakes.

3. Eliminate opponents. This is probably the simplest method you can use to grow and even make it to the leaderboard in slither.io. Use on medium sized snakes with a tendency to use tails as obstacles to avoid others. Timing is everything and it would be a good plan to set up the juke by choosing a head to head approach with the opponent. You can then do a slight turn from the juke and speed towards another snake to reap your rewards.

4. Pin enemies. You can use the larger snakes as perfect barriers to pin down target snakes. The fact is that most snakes will hide near large snakes, but if you are interested, you will manage to get them into very tight places. It is a good plan when you have a lot of space at your disposal and it is not really good in crowded fields because there is a risk of bumping into other snakes.

5. Try to catch a snake. Slicing snakes works, but circling them is a better option. However, it is a tactic that requires coordination and patience, as other snakes can be so intelligent that it makes it difficult for you to complete the circle.
