Comfort foods or don’t stress about the good stuff!

The variety of comfort foods ranges from hot soups and stews to chocolate sundaes and cakes.

We eat these foods to help us feel better, to warm our interior and our hearts on cold or sad days. It gives us a reason to sit down and slow down, and heck, it tastes good too! Typically, these comfort foods are eaten during times of stress or depression. (Burying your face in a quart of chocolate ice cream is better than burying your face under the covers for several days.) You can add!

I agree that comfort foods are great, but in moderation, yes, I’m a killjoy! You will only stress your waist line with excess food. Some places where women work, a common cafeteria or break room is always a haven for backed treats or donated food. Sometimes even after meetings, “leftover treats” are left for everyone to enjoy! Oh, and we enjoyed…

The office where I work is great or this, weekly treats, but they also promote “weight watchers” go figure?

Comfort foods are also great rewards for yourself. When you have tolerated or put up with a family member, co-worker, even just finished a project or finished taking that last exam. Auto-rewards are the icing on the cake, no pun intended! Consider food a real comfort. It’s not something you feel guilty about a little later.

Allow yourself to try the treats, you deserve them!

Enjoy comfort foods and the convenience of talking, networking or chatting with friends. All of this helps reduce stress.
