Discover the features and benefits of the Yamaha DD-65 Digital Drum

There are several options to choose from when you have decided to go for a digital drum kit. Despite the fact that you may have a lot of money, you better get your money’s worth when you buy an item. This is a complex task when you look at the many options before you. Therefore, it is better for you to consider a few things before buying your electronic drum kit. Take into consideration these factors that I consider vital:

1.Experience
2. Skill Level
3. Lifestyle
4. Performance needs

There are electronic drum kits and drum machines, and in between the two is Yamaha’s DD-65 digital drum pad. To a greater extent it can be considered an electronic drum kit. I started using these electronic drums mainly because they are portable and can be taken anywhere with no problem. I was unwilling to buy the usual five-piece battery and, even worse, a miniature battery. Then I found the perfect solution in the Yamaha DD-65 Digital Drum Pad.

The Yamaha DD-65 is pretty amazing because it weighs only about 20lbs and is perfect for standard snare stand. This drum is perfect for practice and for beginners who want to play the drums, but not so much for small club gigs or playing in a stadium.

The features of the Yamaha DD-65 Digital Drum Pad:

1. A USB and MIDI input connector that helps play tracks with music software
2. Built-in speakers
3. Two footswitches for playing high hat and bass drum
4. Pressure sensitive kick drums
5. Fifty built-in kits
6. 200 sound programs
7. 32-note polyphony technology
8. Parties and fun to practice

As mentioned above, this is not considered a concert drum set. To maximize its potential, it should be used for practicing or if you want to have a jam session with friends outdoors. What does not convince me are the integrated speakers. They don’t have a lot of power and you won’t get a great sound. You’ll get a hint of sound which is fine, but you’ll get better quality when connected to a pair of amps or a set of power speakers in an effort to get impressive sound and volume levels. All in all, the Yamaha DD-65 Digital Drum Pad is perfect for practicing and is good for a percussion student who has decided to learn to play drums.
