Eliminate mental interference and chatter

Part of what keeps people from achieving their goals in life and persuasion is that they are their own worst enemy, constantly littering the mind with static and internal chatter: does my hair look good, do I have spinach in my teeth, it’s my fly went up what’s for dinner i wonder what the kids are doing geez i sure can’t wait to see that new movie oh yeah wait a minute. . . I should be paying attention to what this guy is saying because he may want to buy my product or service and I’m sitting here worrying about things I have no control over at the time I really should earn his trust and get his criteria. and define it so you can better figure out what you need and want in terms of an agent (or advisor or whatever). . .

We have all been there. We can have a conversation with our loved ones and fade away to obsess over a work-related topic and instead worry about family when we’re supposed to be focused on our prospect or prospect.

There is incredible power in ‘being here now’. Living the exact moment you find yourself in and engaging with it with your mind, body, and soul is the key to persuasiveness for yourself and others.

So what does this mean? Am I saying you’re not allowed to think? Absolutely not. Thinking is good. Thinking of pointless nonsense, like, I wonder if this person likes me.

I like to operate from presuppositions and assumptions, as in A, yes, this person likes me, B, this person wants and needs what I have to offer, C, I am going to make this sale, and D, if not. Either way, there are always other prospects and customers in the queue. This line of thinking eliminates self-doubt, removes the impossible state insecurity places us in, and discards the extra unnecessary noise that slows down our ability to really get into our persuasive techniques that we’ve been trained to do.

If I’m thinking about how I’m seeding, pacing, leading and focusing on my prospects’ criteria and values, adding language patterns, presuppositions, maybe a little rhythmic speaking, I don’t have time for that. inner voices trying to undermine, and by concentrating on the practice of persuasion, they have virtually eliminated or silenced these critics or demons who go to great lengths to trip up even the most unsuspecting.

How? Well, meditation is one of the most tried and true ways to do this: quieting the mind with intention and patience. There are sound and light sessions specifically designed to move our mind in the exact directions we would like. Exercise is really good for muting the talk, especially if you work out in the perfect zone. Music also has the ability to put me in this state.

Really, the first step is to notice and continually correct until it no longer rears its ugly head. However, this is achieved by you is exactly the right way.
