English Premier Football League Week 22 Match Preview – Part 2

Chelsea vs. Prime

With Chelsea managing to beat Southend in the cup, they will be looking for all three points in their home game. Chelsea should start with Anelka and should win the game quite easily. Although Liverpool did a great job in their match against Stoke last weekend, Chelsea should be able to dominate this newly promoted side. Despite winning just 2 of the last 6 games, Chelsea at home with the in-form Anelka scoring a few goals in recent games is getting into gear as the Premier League enters the latter half of the season.

Stoke, who won a point on their trips to Anfield, will be in high spirits when they travel to Stamford Bridge. With Stoke losing 3 and drawing 3 in the last 6 games, you can be sure Stoke won’t be playing at Stamford Bridge.

Game prediction: Chelsea win 1:0

Manchester City v Wigan

With Kaka grabbing all the headlines for the great money transfer gossip of the century, and with only 1 win in the last 6 games, I’m surprised Mark Hughes is still on the job to spend the billions that are available. Craig Bellamy and Santa Cruz are also on the city’s shopping list this January transfer window, so we may see 3 new faces at Man City in February. Although it seems to me that kaká is not going to move to a Mickey Mouse team for 1 million dollars a week.

It looks like Wigan will lose Palicious to Spurs for £14m sometime in the next few weeks. Having won 4 games in the last 6, Wigan are in fine form and will be looking to increase the pressure on Mark Hughes even further by winning this game.

Game Prediction: Wigan Win 2:1
