How to get a lifetime ban from a car rental company

Okay, I’ve traveled quite a bit in my life and I’ve probably declared more hotel rooms than 95% of the population. In fact, I have traveled to more cities than 99% of the population, and I have also been banned from more car rental agencies than I would like to remember. Why do you ask? Because in my company I spent too many miles on rental cars, no, it is not because I am afraid of flying, I am actually a pilot, it is because I am a retired franchisor, and when I build my company I would do it from the city. to the city, and I didn’t take much by plane because I had too many stops along the way.

I remember a time when I rented a car in Georgia and put 48,000 miles on it in five weeks. In fact, I rented the car for $ 260 per week. You can imagine when I brought the car back how shocked and angry they were and how they wanted to hit my credit card for $ 10,000 more. However, I had them keep the $ 260 per week, and I told them that was the deal, that’s what I signed up for, and it wasn’t my fault that he ran his car past 26,000 miles, which is usually the point. where they trade in the car because they have a deal with the auto auction.

You can understand that obviously putting almost 50,000 miles on a car in five weeks and exhausting half its useful life and paying just $ 1200+ costs the car rental company a ton of money. They lost and I won, but that was the deal. In fact, they felt that I was taking advantage of them, and I was banned for life from renting a car from that company again. Over the years, similar scenarios had occurred, although not so many kilometers away. I am currently banned by four different car rental companies, for life.

You might be laughing, but this isn’t much fun because car rental agencies and brands often merge, and there aren’t as many as before, so now there are only a few that I can rent from. Suffice it to say, I recommend that you try not to take advantage of Rent-A-Car companies, but still get the best deal for you.

Otherwise, Rent-A-Car companies will likely be barred as well, and that could affect your ability to travel in the future. In fact, I have been to some airports where three-quarters of the Rent-A-Car companies had run out of cars, and the only company that had a car, well, was one that had already prohibited me from renting. Perhaps you will consider all this and think about it.
