Inspired to read

Reading is not an activity that many children like. They prefer to participate in sports or find entertainment in the world of technology instead of sitting down to read. While many will argue that a reading measure is done while chatting online or playing various games, it doesn’t help them improve their reading skills.

Why is reading important? Reading helps the mind to develop. Stimulates the eye muscles and sparks the imagination. Improve vocabulary and word power and broaden horizons. Increase IQ. Reading also stimulates emotional development and cultivates sensitivity and empathy. Build trust and improve conversation. In addition, it teaches moral values, entertains and relaxes.

Yes! Reading is essential. Teachers and parents must realize how important their role is in motivating a love of reading. The habit of reading and the love of books should be established in childhood. If teachers and parents want children to be successful in school and in life, they must read aloud to them every day. They should also encourage children to read aloud. If at first they doubt, the adult should read the articles to them. A child is never too young to listen. Even babies respond to the way the voice is used during reading. Parents who read to their children from an early age will soon find that their time together creates a special bond.

For some children and teens, reading is work because it is done primarily for school. Another reason they may hate the idea is that they have a hard time reading. They get defensive and think the activity is stupid.

It is never too late to start reading. Children and adolescents can be encouraged to begin reading stories and articles from interesting magazines or newspapers. It may be more difficult to convince them to read books, but help them choose a good book. Give them an idea about the plot of the story. Get them excited by reading the story.

Patience and lots of encouragement are the keys to success for a teacher or parent, but if all else fails, encourage him to work toward an award. Very little motivates and inspires young people more than money and gifts. This can be done by starting a reading group. Although adults belong to reading groups, there are very few opportunities for children. Book clubs or book groups should encourage children to read and show interest in books. These groups or clubs will allow them to listen to the literature read aloud. Children will also have the opportunity to give their opinion on the work as well as on the author.

Teachers and parents can also help children participate in World Book Day, also known as International Book Day, which is celebrated annually on April 23. It is organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading. Make April the month of reading. International Children’s Book Day is also an annual event held in April. This event was founded in 1967 and was held around April 2, which is Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday. Activities on this day include reading and writing contests and the announcement of book awards. Why not think of a way to reward the kids in the reading club or group you’ve started?

The important thing to remember in life is that you are not just developing a love of reading. You are developing a child. John Ruskin said, “The highest reward for a man’s work is not what he gets for it, but what he becomes for it.”
