Learn from yesterday, live for today, wait for tomorrow

The above title is a quote from Einstein and is actually excellent advice. Einstein was, of course, one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, if not the greatest. Much of modern physics is based on his discoveries. However, in later life he also became a philosopher of considerable importance and provided us with much useful information about life. His appointments are seen everywhere. The above quote can be generalized as: learn from the past, live in the present, hope for the future. And if you do each of these, you will be, in fact, much happier.

What do we mean by each of the above statements? Let’s look at them in turn.

Learn from yesterday

In fact, we should learn from the past, particularly from the mistakes we made in the past. We certainly don’t want to make the same mistakes again. But we don’t want to spend a lot of time thinking about these mistakes, either; they are over and there is nothing we can do about it except learn from them. So don’t keep repeating them and don’t get obsessed with them. Doing so could become a source of frustration and could make you fear failure in the future. In short, they could make you feel very insecure and this, of course, is something you don’t want. So learn from them and forget about them.

Of course, it’s okay to think about the past from time to time, relishing some of the joys you’ve experienced, but you need to get back to the present as quickly as possible. Don’t develop nostalgia for the past. This is a common fault in many people; they daydream about how happy their past life was and how boring and monotonous their current life is. Perhaps your past life was better in some ways, but too many people magnify the happiness of their past life and forget about the struggles and sorrows they experienced. If your current life seems dull compared to your past life, it is up to you to improve it.

Do not continue to long for the past, today is much more important. It is the present, what is happening now, and you must make the most of it.

Live for today

Enjoy the day you are living in. Wake up in the morning with confidence and the feeling that your day is going to be the best you have ever experienced. One of the best ways to do this is to relax and live each day as if it were your last.

Dale Carnegie encourages everyone to live in “hermetic compartments.” And it’s the best advice anyone could give you. As he puts it, “Half of the beds in our hospitals are reserved for patients with nervous and mental disorders, patients who have collapsed under the crushing load of accumulated yesterdays and dreadful mornings. Yet a vast majority of these people would walk around the world. the streets today, leading a happy and useful life, if they had heeded the words … “Live in hermetic compartments.”

In other words: turn off the past. Turn off the future. Live for today! This does not mean that you should not prepare for the future; it means that you should not feel anxious about the future. If you worry and worry continuously about the future, you could end up in the madhouse.

So live one day at a time. Think of each new day as a new adventure, a new life. Tell yourself that it will be the best day of your life. One of the greatest tragedies in many people’s lives is that they keep procrastinating. In particular, they postpone life itself. They always tell themselves that life will be better, after they get married, when they retire, etc. And while they wait, life passes, and suddenly they discover that it has left them behind. They have forgotten, or perhaps they have never learned, how to enjoy life, or perhaps they have been too busy and not had enough time. Life is in life and it is important to learn this. “Today is our most important possession. Don’t throw it away. Appreciate it. Live it. Enjoy it!”

Our happiness and peace of mind are largely determined by how effectively we close yesterday and tomorrow. Therefore, most of your thinking should be directed to what you will do between now And when you go to bed

Happy people don’t allow failures and problems of the past, or worries about the future, to haunt them day after day. If you do, you are likely to end up depressed, anxious and frustrated, and that is not a way to live. Remember it today It is the most important day of your life. So when you start drifting into the past or the future, get back to the present as quickly as possible.

Hope for tomorrow

It’s not that the future isn’t important. It is, and you need to prepare for it. Prepare for it, but don’t worry about it and don’t worry about it unnecessarily. Life is full of problems related to the future: financial problems, worries about your health, worries about getting old. Some of these will happen (like aging), but many of them will be nothing more than worries.

So force yourself to remain optimistic about the future, and the best way to do that is to encourage hope. Never lose hope; Hope encourages you to set goals and work towards them. It makes you optimistic and gives you faith in the future; it is what stimulates you. It makes you dream of better things and it makes you feel good.

Anxiety, on the other hand, depresses and frustrates you. And it can easily get out of control. Anxiety feeds on anxiety, it’s a vicious cycle. So get rid of it as quickly as possible, and the way to do it is by fighting off all negative feelings and negative thoughts related to the future. Don’t be afraid of the future, look forward to it.
