One minute a day keeps the smell away!

Like the kitchen, bathrooms are one of the most important places in the home to keep clean.

As we said before, cleaning the house is something we all have to put up with, so why not bring a little fun and pizzazz to the most daunting tasks?

If you have a shower curtain, close it when not in use so water doesn’t sit in the folds.

Spread your towels out on two towel hooks to dry, or put up towel bars instead. Clean the shower walls with a squeegee after every shower.

To prevent mold from growing in your bathroom, increase the amount of air circulation and light to decrease humidity.

Use fans and dehumidifiers when you are exhibiting and keep windows open. Leave the shower door slightly ajar when not in use to allow air to circulate.

Clean up soap scum with an acidic solution of white vinegar and water. But remember to always wear gloves and rinse thoroughly after cleaning.

Do you need to clean the corners of the shower and bathtub?

All you need to do is add vinegar! Spray any mildew buildup with vinegar and let it dry, then wipe it off.

Many times we don’t even realize that the ceiling needs cleaning and that’s especially true in the bathroom where mold and mildew can dwell. Take a mop bucket, fill it up with half water and half vinegar, and then go downstairs removing those dirty stains. It’s that easy!

Home remedies to clean the toilet

For bleach, try a cup of vinegar and a tablespoon of baking soda. Pour both into the toilet and let it “simmer” for about 30 minutes. Then rub! No toilet bowl cleaners or bleach needed… all you need to do is stop in the kitchen for a quick minute. All you need is some borax and lemon! Make a paste with some lemon juice and borax, then rub to remove stains! You also get the fresh lemon scent for free!

Do you need to clean your countertops?

Use this simple mix to combat mildew and soap scum around your sink and countertop. Mix two cups of baking soda, 1/2 cup of all-natural dish soap, 1 cup of water, and 1/2 cup of vinegar, then clean up!

Take old toothpaste, squeeze out some toothpaste and brush off those rust stains. It works!

No more Windex! All you need to do is grab some shaving cream and clean the mirror! You’ll be fresh and shiny in no time!
