The Power of Intention: An Inspiring Motivational Story by Tony Robbins

While there are so many, I have to say that this is one of my favorite Tony Robbins motivational stories because it very vividly highlights what the power of intention can do when you really focus on the outcome and ask yourself the right questions.

This is the story of a Holocaust victim who had gone through the incredible stress of witnessing the death of her entire family before her eyes. Fearing also for his own life, he only had one thing in mind: “I have to find a way out of here” … And he began to concentrate.

So how did you focus?

He used the powerful techniques of Tony Robbins (although of course he had never heard of Tony Robbins in the 1940s LOL). However, when despair calls, humanity finds a way.

As Tony says, he had the means to ask himself the right question: “What can I do to find a way out of here, using only what I have with me?” Notice that you did NOT ask yourself “Why is this happening to me?” or “How soon will it be before they kill me too?”

He focused only on the result he wanted and his brain found a solution. When no one was looking, he quickly stripped off his clothes and jumped over a pile of naked corpses, staying completely still so that no one could detect any difference between him and the thousands of other victims surrounding him, all dead.

Imagine what you may have been thinking, or feeling, already weakened by depression over the loss of loved ones, breathing in the smells of rotting flesh, and scared to death from breathing for fear of being noticed.

However, the power of intention opened a clear path for this escape. He waited until he heard the trucks pull away. And, thank God, they hadn’t covered the pile with dirt. Several hours later, he proceeded to exit the pile of corpses …

And he did it … only to run 20 miles completely naked to the nearest place for safety!

Many people who have been very successful in life have come out of a low point in their lives, where they ask that liberating question because it is only a last resort.

But it does not have to be like that.

All we have to do is remember to ask ourselves the right questions, the kind of question that will allow us to make the right decisions.

And in fact, that’s all the success actually is … a series of “right” choices you’ve made in your life.

I remember a time in my life when I kept making one bad decision after another. It wasn’t until I started listening to powerful audio recordings like this Tony Robbins story that I started to make the right decisions.

The difference lies in being able to be aware of your choices and realize that the life you are living right now is the direct result of your best thoughts.
