The Caribbean would have to be one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. Of all the different places that make up the Caribbean you can have any type of honeymoon you want.
Whether it’s to spend all day relaxing on the beach, golfing, extreme water sports or just a secluded getaway where you are the only two people in sight. The Caribbean has something for everyone.
I have created the six best honeymoon spots in the Caribbean.
cancun
On the east coast of Mexico, Cancun is considered by many to be the top honeymoon destination, simply because it has it all. You can swim all day at one of the many beaches, play golf at some of the best golf courses, shop for everything you want, and then party at night at one of the many nightclubs.
Puerto Rico
With 435 km of virgin coastline, Puerto Rico is a dream place for a honeymoon. Quieter than Cancun, you can still enjoy all the water sports you can think of, plus visit the only rainforest that’s part of the US National Forest Service.
Punta Cana
On the eastern side of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana has beaches fringed with coconut palms that give it the nickname Costa del Coco. If you are looking for a laid back and laid back beach honeymoon then this is the place for you.
Ancient
With nearly 400 beaches, Antigua is definitely a place for sun-loving water babies. The beaches are mostly sheltered from the wind of the island itself, so you can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters and sunbathing on the eggshell white sand all day long.
The Bahamas
With approximately 700 different islands that vary in size, the Bahamas are a highly versatile honeymoon destination. The largest island is Grand Bahama Island, which has several all-inclusive resorts or you can stay on one of the many other islands, including Nassau or Paradise Island. The best thing about the Bahamas is the fact that it is very easy to travel from anywhere in the US.
Jamaica
Probably one of the most affordable islands in the Caribbean; Jamaica is widely known for reggae, rum, and jerk chicken. But there is much more to this beautiful island. Jamaica is the third largest in the Caribbean in size and they speak English so you don’t have to worry about translation problems. With perfect weather year-round, Jamaica has it all.
