In 2021, the Easter Festival will be held in Salzburg, but not at Easter, but on All Saints’ Day. “We don’t want to cancel, we’re postponing,” says director Nikolaus Bachler in an interview with the SN.

The Salzburg Easter Festival will take place this year, albeit not at Easter, but on All Saints’ Day. This was announced by director Nikolaus Bachler on Monday. The Staatskapelle Dresden is expected to perform a reduced program with four orchestral concerts with the conductor Christian Thielemann in autumn – similar to what would have been planned for the coming Easter weekend. What exactly will be played, which artists and soloists will be invited, will be announced in May.
