5 exercises you can do with your manual clamp

If you own a set of manual exercise tweezers, you have a lot of things you can do. You are not limited to just squeezing them, you can do a variety of things if you just let your imagination think of them.

There are benefits to doing different gripper exercises because you will target the different muscle groups in your hand and forearm, giving you a more balanced development. Here are five ideas you should try.

1. First, you can do the standard compression exercise with the clamps for reps. Do 10 to 15 reps for three sets. If 15 reps isn’t challenging enough for you, you’ll need a stronger pair of pliers.

2. You can do what is called an oversqueeze if you squeeze the pliers all the way closed and hold them there by squeezing really hard. Wait 5-10 seconds.

3. Try negatives where you take a tweezer that is too strong to close normally and close it all the way with the help of your other hand. Then try to resist her opening. Do a few reps like this and you’ll definitely get a good workout.

4. Try to exercise just your thumb and one finger. If you have a clamp that you find easy to close, squeeze it with just your thumb and each finger individually. This will help isolate and exercise those areas of responsibility for each finger. You probably won’t be able to squeeze it closed, putting it partially closed is better than nothing.

5. The last two fingers of the hand do not seem to have the best training. If you grab the handles with just your last two fingers instead of using all five along with your thumb, you’ll give those fingers a chance to work a little harder.

It’s good to have a couple of sets of pliers, one that you can use normally and one that is difficult to squeeze. If your hard only allows you to do a few reps at a time, doing it a few times a week would be great. It will help you overcome any weak spots you may have and will act as a test of strength for you.
