Best Homemade Swiss Mushroom Burger Ever!
I love making burgers at home and this is one of my favorite ways to serve them! I prefer to grill my burgers, but sometimes it’s just not possible, so frying them in a pan is perfectly fine! Make sure to serve them with some fries on the side! I buy the frozen fries and cook them in the oven.
4 hamburger rolls
1 pound ground beef
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
A few drops of Worcestershire sauce
4 long slices of Swiss cheese, cut in half
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
8 oz. white mushrooms, sliced
1 large white onion, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
Salt pepper
Olive oil
- Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onions, mushrooms, and thyme. Spice with salt and pepper.
- Cook the onions and mushrooms, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and the mushrooms are golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. % uF0D8 Knead the meat until well mixed and form 4 patties of uniform size.
- Heat a pan with olive oil and add the hamburgers. Cook 4-5 minutes and flip when bottom is nice and golden.
- Top with cheese and cook for 4 to 5 more minutes.
- Grill your hamburger buns in the skillet or toast them (or do nothing if you prefer!)
- Season your hamburger buns with any seasonings of your choice.
- Place the cooked burger in the middle of the buns and top with mushrooms and onions.
- Top with the remaining bun. S
- Serve with fries and enjoy!
