A Beginner’s Guide to Playing Roulette

Roulette is one of the most famous gambling games in the world today. It is a French game and the word roulette in French means small wheel. The history of roulette dates back to the 18th century. Since then, the game has undergone many changes and is still one of the most played gambling games in the world.

The game consists of a wheel marked with different types of numbered and colored pockets. During the game, a croupier, a casino employee who helps players, spins the wheel and then throws a ball into the circular area around the wheel. Usually the ball is thrown in the opposite direction to the direction the wheel is spinning. Once the ball lands on the wheel, it settles in one of the numbered and colored pockets on the wheel.

You can bet in two different ways: inside bets and outside bets. In an inside bet, you can bet on things like which slot the ball will land on, the range of numbered and colored slots on the wheel, etc. In an outside bet, you can bet on things like the colors of the different pockets, whether they are odd or even, and their positions. During each spin, players can place inside and outside bets. There are regulations regarding the amount of bets that can be placed before each spin. The casino dealer also has the right to declare that there will be no more bets on the game.
