Animated images in commercials are a hindrance

While some may have fun with them, the sight of animated animals promoting things like insurance or other resources is a real turnoff. An example is an ad that features meerkats sitting around a table eating, drinking coffee, and talking about finances. The effect is exaggerated. This beautiful species should not be exploited for commercial gain. What kind of sick mind sees you as representatives of the consumers of such things?

Having once worked in the advertising business where animation was used to show the effect of fly spray was educational about how difficult it is to do so. It is a series of pictures of images that are moved a fraction at a time. It can involve hundreds of these moves for just a one minute ad.

It might have been smart when it was first made, but now the advertising industry seems so hooked that watching TV and watching these clips is very unpleasant. You wonder why it is so appealing to do it in the first place. It’s surely not a money-saving exercise and what’s wrong with using humans to advertise such products?

These animations are used to show animals playing sports, sunbathing on beaches, winning championship races, and talking to humans as if their intelligence level is above them. If this is what executive producers envision as a selling point for products, then something is terribly wrong.

My mind enjoys reality, as do many of my friends. As a spiritual person, I find fiction and fantasy to be areas against my psyche. If someone wants to sell me something, they must present it as a human person who knows what my brain needs to hear to be convinced. Otherwise, they are wasting their time. This is probably how most genuine buyers would see it as well.
