Are you afraid of lowering your metabolism by not eating? Then read this!

The media has everyone excited thinking that your metabolism will slow down if you don’t eat enough calories each day. They say that 6 meals a day is an absolute fact and that your metabolism increases, and if you don’t eat 6 meals a day your metabolism will decrease and you will start to gain weight.

But is it really true?

In all the time that I have been involved with fitness, I have never come across a real study showing that you can increase your metabolism by eating 6 meals a day. And I’ve actually gone looking for them! However, I have come across studies showing that it doesn’t slow down your metabolism even if you don’t eat a single stitch of food, for at least 72 hours.

Metabolism is primarily about your body weight and activity level, not the amount of food you eat. You could increase or decrease it very slightly, but not by a significant amount.

So what should you do if you don’t want to slow down your metabolism?

This is what I suggest:

Start studying something called 24-hour fasts (more on that later), and start doing 24-hour fasts where you don’t eat anything, and then move on to exercise.

That way, you get the dozens of benefits you get from fasting, lose weight during that fast, allow you to be a little more forgiving of your diet, and you won’t slow your metabolism or lose anything. muscular!

However, I suggest that you find out a little more about fasting, which I cannot detail in an article like this. Make sure you are the type of person who can do it (most can, but make sure you do).

Fasting is very quickly becoming part of the mainstream in the United States. If you’re reading this in another country, you may already be doing it because they realize that fasting doesn’t slow down your metabolism and you know how amazing it is for your body, it just hasn’t gotten popular in America yet!

So in conclusion, follow these 3 principles and you will never have to worry about a decrease in metabolism again:

1) Do weekly 24-hour fasts.

2) Eat a large meal just before you start fasting with a good portion of protein.

3) Make sure you have some kind of resistance training program!

Follow those 3 principles and start learning more about fasting and I guarantee that your body will never slow down metabolism or do anything else to gain weight.
