Boot Camp Diet and Nutrition – Five Forbidden Foods

So you’ve been in boot camp recently and you’ve certainly learned how to train properly and eat healthy. However, the truth is that after a few weeks of returning home, his old habits will begin to tempt him again. You know it’s going to be a very tough battle, after all, you’ve been giving in to those bad habits for years, and even with your much-improved personality, it will be extremely difficult to stay on the right track. A good way to keep your balance is to treat yourself to a good treat every once in a while. There are actually a number of ‘forbidden’ foods that can be good (or not so bad) for you – as long as you don’t overdo it of course! Here is a list:

1) Up to 30 grams of chocolate (about 150 calories): Everyone loves chocolate, and recent research has shown that eating up to 30 grams a day is really good for your health, especially for your cardiovascular system.

2) A small spoonful of peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread: Yes, peanut butter doesn’t help your diet, but the good news is that it contains unsaturated fat, dietary fiber, protein, and vitamin E. So why? not? try a little once in a while?

3) Two Weight Watchers Lemon Gingerbread Cookies – Inexpensive and very tasty, they contain much less amount of sugar than regular cookies. Delicious!

4) Up to 30 grams of sweetened cashews: Nuts are actually a very nutritious food, since they are full of fiber and protein. Adding a little sugar, once in a lifetime, doesn’t hurt.

5) A scoop of sugar free ice cream: Try an ice cream made with honey instead of sugar. You will be amazed at how good it tastes and how healthy it is!
