Build Your Own Lightsaber: How To Build A Lightsaber

The Star Wars series has an incredible following, of which I am one. The characters, the spaceships, and the technology are mind-boggling at times. And for most of us we want a part of that. We want to know what it would feel like to be a Jedi. One important thing that all Jedi possess is a lightsaber. If you’ve ever dreamed of building your own lightsaber, the good news is that it is entirely possible.

There are several really good websites on the internet that include lightsaber designs, images, and schematics that people have built on their own. In fact, they are so popular that they are sometimes down due to high traffic. I will give you a list of these sites at the end of this article.

When you find a design you like, you will find that it includes a list of parts that you can pick up at your local Home Depot or Lowes. The only problem you may run into is that those parts are no longer in stock or need to be ordered. Therefore, you may sometimes have to improvise in your design. Sometimes it will end up looking better, original and unique.

One caveat is that running into a store like Home Depot or Lowes looking for nails, pipes, and other weird mixes can raise suspicions. As happened to me once, the police ended up coming to my house. So be careful with that and if someone asks you tell them that you are building a lightsaber.
