India is a land of beauty and mystery. The country’s natural diversity gives it the status of a subcontinent. At the same time, there is great diversity in the culture of the people of India. A single tour cannot really aim to show you all of India, but there is such a tour that can introduce you to India and its charms. The golden triangles tours are designed to give you a taste of North India by covering three cities: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. These cities form a triangle and hence the name. This is one of the most popular tourist routes in the country as well. Each city in this circuit has its uniqueness that words cannot describe.

Delhi

The capital of India, Delhi, is usually the starting point on the golden triangle journey. This city is divided into New Delhi and Old Delhi and each of them has a story to tell. New Delhi houses the parliament of India and many of the government offices. Delhi also has some of the most beautiful mosques, forts and monuments from the Mughal era. Jamma Masjid, which is one of the most popular mosques built by Mughals, shows the skill of the artists. The Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb are other monuments in Delhi that show the wonderful architecture of the Mughals.

agra

If you haven’t been to this beautiful city yet, know that Agra has three UNESCO world heritage sites Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Located on the banks of the Yamuna, Agra was the capital of the Mughal Empire. No trip to India would be complete without a visit to the Taj Mahal. The intricate carvings on this marble structure have made it one of the wonders of the world. This second city in the Indian golden triangle has the ability to capture the imagination of all who visit it.

Jaipur

Known as the Pink City due to its distinctively colored buildings, Jaipur is the largest city in the state of Rajasthan. It is also the first planned city in India. Some of the most popular tourist attractions in this city include the City Palace, Birla Temple, Hawa Mahal, and several massive forts built by the Rajputs. Hawa Mahal, which translates as Palace of Winds, is known for its beautiful and intricate architecture. With its ancient palaces and forts, Jaipur is definitely a showcase of the Rajput era. People interested in gemstones, bangles, textiles and textiles are in for a treat as Jaipur is an excellent market for these.
