Do you want to lose fat? So Stay Engaged

Before I begin, I will say one thing. I’m not here to criticize or make people feel bad about themselves. I’m here to tell the truth about why people don’t get the results they want when it comes to fat loss.

When it comes down to it, people say cardio is the number one thing to lose fat. However, even though cardio helps you lose fat, the number one key to losing fat is your diet. No matter how many hours you put into training and exercising, if your diet isn’t good, then you won’t get the results you want.

What should I do then?

Well, for starters, it would increase my metabolism. If you have a high metabolism, you will be able to burn more energy than you consume. You can increase your metabolism through exercise, eating something small every 2 hours, drinking green tea, eating spicy foods, drinking plenty of water, reducing meal sizes, etc.

You have to discipline yourself and stay on task. Many people I have talked to say they are not seeing results. However, when I look at what they do; they eat a lot of junk food, they eat too much, and they’re not making a valiant attempt at exercise.

It’s going to be hard because temptation is always around the corner. When it does come though, don’t worry, just remember that if you absolutely HAVE to eat that candy bar or that handful of chips; make sure you eat those items in moderation and make sure that for every junk food you eat, you do something that will burn you off.

What kind of exercises should I do?

Well, cardio exercises are considered one of the best forms of exercises to lose fat; however, strength training is another form that has the ability to burn calories and fat.

In strength training, you force your body to lift heavy objects with low repetitions. Unlike bodybuilding and cardiovascular exercises, in strength training, after you’ve finished your exercise; it will enter “after recording” mode. Basically, your body will burn calories when you’re not even doing anything!

Cardiovascular exercises are forms of aerobic training (with oxygen); which means they require oxygen and usually last longer than 45 minutes to an hour. Also, it takes some time before the metabolism rises to the point where it can burn fat.

Bodybuilding and weightlifting (strength training) are forms of anaerobic (without oxygen) training methods. Depending on the workouts, they are shorter in duration than most aerobic training sessions and your metabolism will skyrocket depending on the intensity and stress placed on your muscles.

High intensity interval training is another great type of exercise that can really burn fat. The Tabata protocol is a popular high-intensity interval training program. It is praised by many people as the best exercise method to burn fat. Within a Tabata regimen, you should perform an exercise in 20 seconds for as many repetitions as you can. Then take a 10 second break and move on to the next exercise. The exercises are yours to choose from. This is a sample of what a Tabata regimen looks like:

• Squats

•Raise your chin

•Lizards

•Dominated

Tabata regimens typically last 8 minutes and must be performed by the practitioner at a very high intensity. You have 20 seconds to work at a very high pace for the exercise you’re doing, then rest 10 seconds and repeat the exercise, or move on to the next one.

So in order for you to lose fat, you need to fix your diet, exercise, and most importantly, stay committed to them.
