Faithbook: How to Write Your Christian Testimony in 5 Easy Steps

Whether someone wants to buy a book or a pair of shoes, they probably want a testimony of another person. When I want to buy a book on Amazon, I read the opinions of those who have read it. Yes, I am interested in what this person has to say because they can share their testimony.

When a Christian shares his testimony, it is your first-hand experience of asking Jesus to enter your heart and soul. its testimony they are their facts and evidence of being Christians.

Step 1 Start with a sentence

When we Christians start any project, I think we must first pray. The first thing I want you to do is pray. 1 Timothy 2: 1 (MSG)

So at this very moment I am going to say a prayer for you, my Christian Friend.

Jesus,

I would like to exalt this Christian friend. Mister,

I appreciate you taking the time to read this article.

I ask you to guide their thoughts and empower their words.

so you can make a difference in someone’s life. Guide

your testimony to be a tool that will lead others to you.

either now or in the future.

I ask you these things in the Power of the Holy Name of Jesus.

Amen.

Now take a moment of silence. Pray for the person who will read or hear your testimony..

Step 2 Define your goal for your testimonial

He may be saying, “What are you talking about? I know you share your testimony so that God can use it to touch someone’s life.”

To that he would reply: “You are absolutely right.”

But is there anyone in particular who wants to receive / read your testimony? Who is it? Your sound? His daughter? Your grandson? Other friends? Relative?

The Bible tells us: Tell your children and grandchildren about the glorious miracles that He (God) performed. Deuteronomy 4: 9 (TLB)

Only you and God know your goal.

My goal for my testimony is to pass it on to my son, my granddaughter, my stepchildren and grandchildren and those who will follow me. I also hope that God will use the words of my testimony to plant seeds for others so that they too will share hope with their loved ones and with future generations.

What about someone who says in front of others that they know me? I will also say before my Father who is in Heaven that I know him. Matthew 10:32 (New international reader version)

Step 3 Consider the facts

Regardless of the facts, whether you are 7 or 97, God can still use your story. So here are some questions to help you start thinking about it.

  • How old were you? (If you don’t know exactly, just approximate.)

  • What church did you attend? Where was the church located?

  • When did you invite Jesus into your heart? (If you are like me, you may not know the specific date. However, you may know its age, season, or year. I know I was nine years old and that it was during a spring revival.)

  • Where were you when you accepted Jesus as your Savior?

  • Who led you to accept Our Lord? Family member? Sunday school teacher? Shepherd? Friend? Another person?

  • Who else influenced your decision?

  • Do you remember what else was going on that day? (Bible School, Sunday Church Services, Revival?)

  • Did you immediately respond to Jesus’ call or did you delay?

  • Describe the feeling you had.

Obviously, the answers to these questions will vary. Consider the fact that some people accept Jesus at a very young age and others at a mature age. And since God made each of us unique, our responses will automatically diversify.

That is what makes your testimony so powerful. You will be able to reach someone whom others cannot, because your story is unique to you.

Step 4 Create your story

… if someone asks you why you think the way you do, be prepared to tell them, and do it in a friendly and respectful way. 1 Peter 3:15 (TLB)

Using your answers to the previous questions, write your story. You can choose to create an outline first or just write a draft. Do it in the way that is most comfortable for you.

So why don’t you start writing your story about when you accepted Jesus as your Savior? Ahead. Do it now!

5. Share your testimony in your Book of faith

Perhaps God is calling you to write your testimony. In written form it can be shared on your Book of faith. Your loved ones now, as well as those who will follow you in the future, can benefit from your words.

If God moves your heart to write the story of your testimony, start right now. Do not delay. I want to point out to my friends that time is of the essence. There is no time to lose … 1 Corinthians 7:29 (MSG)

You don’t know who God can influence with your story.
