In the old network marketing days it was quite a process. Cold-calling customers, trying to sign up all their family and friends, shopping lists, and let’s not forget those endless meetings and high-pressure sales pitches.
Oh boy am I glad those bad dreams are over and I even have friends again. People don’t run when they see me coming now and they’re actually glad to see me. Pretty!
Yes, I’ve learned the new tricks the wizarding children have taught me, but I also know how it all fits together. My age, my experience benefits my marketing methods and the tools we have today, especially the Internet, has completely changed the world of Network Marketers.
There are so many time saving benefits now with software programs, computers, cell phones, teleconferencing, webinars, etc. Networking has become something of a science. Now you can spend most of your time configuring and trying to install the next great piece of software only to find out that it’s already out of date. Yes, technology advances so fast that we can get lost in it.
While so much is changing so fast, the basic understanding and rules of relationships and people have not changed. The old saying “the money is in your list” still rings true. Your customers, your list, and the relationships with your list are your most important assets. The internet has changed the way people shop and has created a completely different view of the way you now need to market yourself.
Today your relationship with people has to be of the highest value. You have to excel as a leader and you have to invest in yourself to become the leader of great importance. Otherwise, people won’t be attracted to you and will quickly go elsewhere. Today’s marketer must provide valuable information, solutions to the problems we have. He has to provide education, training, and give his clients everything they need to be successful.
You used to make one sale and then move on to the next and never see the first person again. Today everything is about community, social networks, groups of all kinds. People want to know and trust you before following you. That is the law of attraction and the new era in network marketing called Magnetic Sponsoring. Today you must market yourself to the “Business Model of You Inc.”. You must give a lot of value to people, building that always important relationship with them.
There is a reason why 97% of marketers make around $10 per week and why 3% of network marketers have 5 and 6 figures more income per month. They can see what people want and need, stand out as an expert, and have the value people want. Your relationships with your customers are the keys to your success. We old school graduates who are constantly learning and evolving into today’s new age vendor will always compete with the wizarding kids and stay ahead!
Today you need the tools of the internet, understanding relationships, being a value leader, and having a proven system that works to generate revenue from the top 3%. That’s where the community now comes into play with people working with people to produce great benefits for their members. These JVs are how top network marketers earn those five and six figure salaries per month.
So find a great community and join them, give them great value. Listen to their problems and find solutions, find out what they are looking for, what they want. Then provide those things for them. Become a leader, build confidence, invest in yourself every day, and build your value. Stop chasing your potential customers and use the law of attraction in your network marketing. You will soon see the rewards this will bring in increased income.
