What are home remedies? Home remedies are nothing more than something that can cure you simply with the natural things and foods available in our kitchen cupboard. Folk remedies are a kind of first aid therapy for the body. Something that we can all try at home and get good results. We can just forget about the doctor for a while and believe in the words of our old grandmothers who have passed down to us the simple knowledge of doing safe treatment for some simple ailments sitting inside our home premises at any time of the day and need not disturb to the doctor for simple problems such as cold, cough, stomach pain.

Home remedies for stomach upset

– For gastric pain –Boil Jeera powder-1/2 spoon, Ajwain -1/2, Except -1/2 spoon, Mint leaves-6-7 leaves in a glass of water and when left ½ glass. Drink that sip by sip and the bread is gone.
– Just take hing-1/4 spoon with warm water and the bread is gone.
– For heartburn drink coconut water.
– For constipation -boil 2 dates in milk at night and drink that milk. It is a mild laxative.
– Take figs at night. it is also a good laxative and easy home remedy
– For loose movements, drink Souf water every 2 hours.
– Again, for a sloppy, smelly tummy, drink 1 tablespoon of termuric in cold water and the upset stomach will correct itself.
– Drink buttermilk with jeera powder which is wonderful for loose motion.
– For blood in stool — squeeze a lemon into cold milk and drink instantly. She immediately stops the blood in the stool.
– Massaging castor oil on the belly at night also helps to have an easy bowel movement in the morning.

Stomach upset in babies

– When the little one cries all the time and squeezes his tummy. Then it is certain that the baby has gastric pain. The best remedy is to apply Hing mixed with water on the belly.

– The baby of 1 or 2 months should be given a pinch of hing in 1 tablespoon of breast milk to release gases from the body. This is a wonderful home remedy.

– The child’s legs should be pressed against the belly to help him release gas.

– If the baby is constipated for 3-4 days and has discomfort. Add sugar in water and boil that water and make him drink 1 or 2 tablespoons. This will act as a laxative for the baby.

– When the baby is teething and defecating. The best home remedy is to give it boiling water.

– Another home remedy for loose and watery stools is to give boiled rice water with little Dhania powder.

– Squeeze a lemon in milk and boil and make fresh cheese. The water from that should be given to the child and this helps to control loose movements.

– For vomiting, squeeze the onion juice and give a few drops. this immediately controls vomiting in young babies.
