IB ACIO exam program and pattern

The Intelligence Office (IB) is considered one of the oldest intelligence agencies in the world. These were intelligence targets, but recently focused on internal security. Officially, the IB reports to the Home Office, but in practice the IB Director is a member of the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) and the Steering Committee has the authority to inform the Prime Minister in case of need, but intelligence inputs they must go through regular channels on the MHA to the JIC. The IB operates at the state and national level.

The IB exam for ACIO is conducted every year by the Ministry of the Interior (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer). A large number of candidates attend the exam, but very few succeed and therefore good exam preparation appears to be required. Eligible candidates applying for this ACIO exam must understand the exam syllabus.

Eligibility

Age limit: – 18 to 27 years of age on the last date of receipt of the application.

Senior age: The relaxation limit for SC / ST is 5 years and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Essential qualification: – Graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Desirable rating: – Computer knowledge.

Test I deals with reasoning, general awareness, mathematical ability and comprehension for 100 minutes.

Test II deals with analytical ability and writing skills in English.

Comprehension – This is where candidates’ basic understanding of the English language is assessed. Includes current affairs, business, science, politics, research, banking, reasoning, economics, differences and similarities, problem solving, visualization of space, judgment, analysis, discriminatory analysis, relationship concepts, visual memory, decision making, series non-verbal. , series of numbers and complete basic mathematics.

Part ii

Descriptive Exam: This is the descriptive part of the English language that includes essay, precise writing, correspondence, and office / business comprehension. This is to check analytical ability and English writing ability.

The duration of both articles is 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Test takers are selected based on the written exam and the interview.

Application costs:

RS. 50 For general candidates / OBC

No fee for women and SC / ST candidates.

The fee will be paid in cash by filling out the State Bank of India Chalan.

Admission to the Intelligence Office exam will be charged prior to the exam date. Candidates can download the same. The examination authority publishes the result of the intelligence office examination on the main website and is also available on the website.

About expected IB cut-off marks:

• General: 70 objective points and 30 descriptive points
• OBC: 55 objective points and 25 descriptive points
• SC / ST: 45 objective points and 20 descriptive points
