Improve Your Golf Swing Through Simple Upper Body Exercises

There are hundreds of tips for golf drivers that you can find online and in golf magazines. Usually they would focus on choosing the best golf bands or how to master your swing. But the best driver advice is the one that focuses on the most essential part of the swing: you.

Making your golf driver work for you helps you win the game, but the most important thing to focus on is how you can hit that ball farther. This means finding ways to increase clubhead speed, and no, it’s not just about finding the right type of golf driver that will do the trick.

Increasing clubhead speed is only possible if your body has the strength and flexibility to swing hard and hit the ball with adequate pressure. This means that strengthening and making your core flexible are the only ways you can achieve that full swing that can take your ball the distance you want.

You can try simple and easy to do upper body rotations that can improve your flexibility while also strengthening your spine. You can do these exercises at home or in the office, or even sitting in your chair!

Here is a simple exercise routine to strengthen your upper body:

Sit in your chair and cross your arms in front of your chest. Keep your head and shoulders square, then slowly roll them to the right. See how far you can push your upper body to the right without straining your back muscles. Then reverse and slowly stretch to your left. Do this routine 20-30 times and you will notice that your back and waist become loose after a few days.

You can find other easy stretching exercises that can increase the strength and flexibility of your back and spinal muscles. Choose the ones you can do anywhere, even while sitting down or while watching your favorite movie or ball game.

Remember to do bending and stretching exercises to warm up before each game of golf, and you will surely achieve that flexibility you are looking for.
