NLP hypnosis: what is it about

What is Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP for short? It is the most effective form of hypnosis. The reason for its success is the way the treatment is carried out. In NLP, the suggestions are not provided to our subconscious. Instead, in this technique, thought patterns are provided in areas that concern us. These new thought patterns are used to eliminate the problem.

NLP is based on three components: NLP anchor, NLP flash, and NLP reframing. NLP anchoring means a way to “anchor” the desired state, such as a feeling of self-worth in our body. For example, remembering and visualizing a time when we are admired or rewarded for a perfect job. With the help of NLP we can regularly raise our sense of self-worth or we can motivate ourselves.

A stimulus is used to trigger the desired response, memory, behavior, or feeling. An anchor is established through the use of a single stimulus. You cannot use something very familiar and general. For example, a handshake would not be appropriate as it is common. Touching the forehead or pulling on one earlobe could be examples of encouragement.

We use these stimuli every day. While driving, a yellow or red light initiates a certain response. Smelling the baked apple pie reminds us of being at Grandma’s house with the family. Listening to an old song reminds us of the feeling we had dancing with Mary in the teenage dining room.

With anchoring, we attach a particular feeling, event, or event to a particular stimulus and can recreate that situation at any time using the stimulus.

The NLP flash is a bit different from the NLP anchor. It means that the hypnotist can train the body to abstain from cigarettes and coffee. This is one of the most effective techniques if someone simply wants to quit smoking or lose weight.

With the NLP flash, thoughts change or are reversed in the unconscious mind. The thoughts and experiences that once created stress or a particular action are now used to create relaxation or a different action. For example, if you smoke while talking on the phone, you will unconsciously reach for a cigarette when the phone rings. The NLP flash will help you replace the cigarette thought with another response when the phone rings.

Reframing NLP allows you to replace negative beliefs, behaviors, and events with different, positive ones. Events and situations alone are meaningless. We apply our own beliefs and values to provide meaning.

Changing the way we view events is reframing. When we change the meaning, we also change the response and behavior, resulting in a different result.

If we change the color of a room from green to beige, or a picture frame from red to blue, our concepts will change, altering the meaning or the way we think about the room or the image. Changing the ‘my husband works all the time’ thinking by thanking him for working to allow us to have a new home will definitely improve relationships. [outcome].

When we look through a large hole in a fence, our perspective changes from looking through a small hole. We restructure our concept of what is on the other side of the fence. This change will alter our decisions, choices and results.

The result is the important part, not how we arrived at the result. How we change our belief on the unconscious level is not important as long as the desired result occurs.

NLP provides us with very effective personal development tools that help us become more influential and effective communicators while changing the way we think and make decisions that bring us better results.
