“Philosophical Lives”: the exercises of admiration by Michel Onfray

Michel Onfray is a prolific essayist. Too much even, at times, for the good of his work: one title drives out the other and we end up losing the thread of a philosophical approach which, however, lacks neither originality nor interest.

In its abundant bibliography, there are indeed important works, which deserve to be taken up again with a rested head. We therefore welcome the initiative of “Books”, which brought together in a volume of 1,500 pages eleven intellectual biographies that the founder of the University of Caen devoted to admired characters.
