However now, the scenario is different and better; the roads have been paved for women in the field of science, technology and entrepreneurship, by women themselves.
They are writing new chapters, each one better than the last. We are no longer the submissive ladies chained to patriarchal customs, we are busy developing ourselves, becoming masters in everything we do.
‘Purnima’, I would like to call these women. Purnima in Hindi means full moon and full moon describes the beauty, grace and magnificence that flows after completing a full circle. Over the years, we have conquered our fears and overcome traditions that said we were meant to stay home and cook. Time for a reality check and also to delve into the details of ‘India’s Self-made Purnimas’. These three women, mentioned below, are the ones who understood that being a woman is a sign of strength and who want to outshine men, hence they are called the best female entrepreneurs in India.

Falguni Nayar recognized the makeup needs of women and provided it all under one name. She is definitely a star and we should applaud her for her incredible work.

All of these women, including a few more, are setting milestones in their respective fields and their success is a reminder to all those who are still struggling that there is nothing that can stop you if you are working towards being successful and independent.
I am reminded of another amazing woman, Indra Nooyi, the woman who said: “We’ve been in this revolution for decades. First it was just getting into this boys’ club… We broke through this revolution in the workplace, then we needed pay parity. We haven’t got it yet, we’re still fighting for it’s”. . We have to have the same deal. We need to be treated as equals. I hate being called ‘honey’, ‘honey’ and ‘baby’. That has to change.”
