Season start in the Krahuletz Museum Eggenburg on March 28th

From “glass and porcelain” to “primeval elephant and baby mammoth”

St. Pölten (OTS) This year’s exhibition season begins on Sunday, March 28th at 10 a.m. in the Krahuletz Museum Eggenburg. The presentation of colored glass and shiny porcelain, which was completed at the end of October, is new and although it was able to open, it was hardly accessible due to Corona. Among other things, two bright green glasses from the Biedermeier period, the color of which is uranium-containing, are on display.

Over the winter, some exhibition stations were expanded with additional information that can be called up with QR codes. These include listening stations in the Middle Ages, where Middle High German language examples can be called up. Children can look for stamp stations in the museum and receive a flatterer for it. This year new stamps have been added, for example a baby mammoth and a primeval elephant.

The Krahuletz Museum Eggenburg has three exhibition focuses:
Earth history, human history and folklore. The exhibition areas are constantly being revised and designed in a contemporary way. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
