Seven incredible kitchen tools

Everyone who cooks can use some of these handy, time-saving kitchen gadgets. While you can get by with a basic stove and a few old pots and pans, many dishes are more difficult to prepare or require more time to prepare. The items on this list can free up some of your time, help you prepare delicious meals, store leftovers, and even make the kitchen a fun place to be. So without further ado, here are some of my favorite kitchen gadgets. I hope you like them.

1. Breadmaker

Imagine waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread, ready for you to pull out of the machine and cut into toast or sandwiches for lunch. And all I had to do was load up the ingredients the night before and then set the timer.

2. Automatic coffee machine

This goes well with the bread maker. Add ground coffee and water, set the clock, and have coffee waiting for you when you get out of bed in the morning. Get up and shine!

3. High quality knife set

I used to get by with an old mismatched knife set that was given to me without a knife block. Some of the handles were loose and had to be stored in a drawer. The new set is on the counter. Edges stay sharp longer and the set contains knives for most needs. More drawer space, too.

4. Plastic food containers.

With a set of food storage containers, storing leftovers just got a whole lot easier. Many have vented lids for microwave use. Another way to use them is to freeze food for future use. They also look better than old margarine and yogurt containers.

5. Immersion Blender

These portable devices can be placed in large glasses, pots or mixing bowls. You can mix drinks, baking ingredients, sauces, or even mash potatoes. They take up less space and are easier to clean than traditional blenders.

6. Toaster oven

A toaster oven can cook toasted items with toppings, such as garlic bread and mini pizzas, as well as make toast. Small baking projects are also possible, if you don’t want to or can’t use a larger oven.

7. Grilled sandwich

For grilled cheese, tuna melt, and burger melt, these grills seal the edge of the sandwich so cheese and other goodies don’t leak out.

These are some of the kitchen utensils that I like to use. For larger items, you may be able to borrow one to try before you buy. That’s what I did with the breadmaker. Our food pans, coffee maker and hand mixer see daily use, and the toaster oven and sandwich maker once or twice a week. In short, a good investment for my family. Happy cooking!
